Guests on a short business trip will appreciate this 1 day gorilla trek. At 4:30 in the morning, your guide will pick you up from your hotel or the airport if your flight lands at 4am in the morning. The briefing and introduction to the gorilla families begins at 7 am, and your guide will drive you the 2-hour drive north to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters.
1 day gorilla tracking is designed to only those who are within Kigali and those who have a short stay in Rwanda, especially those who come for conferences. Normally the departure time for the 1-day Rwanda gorilla trek should be between 4 am and 4:30 am put in mind that the road it is 2 hours and 30 minutes’ drive on a normal day.
If it is a rainy season there is added extra time of 30 minutes because some parts of the road are foggy for example around the Shyorongi areas making it somehow invisible. Gorilla families are always on the move around the park, so expect a 2-8 hour round trip walk plus the 1 hour spent with the gorillas.
