4 Days Double Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes (Trekking Gorillas Twice)
Overview
Tourists who wish to track mountain gorillas twice in a few days with two separate gorilla families can do so on Rwanda’s 4 Day Double Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park. When you go on a double gorilla trek in Rwanda, you may experience how two different gorilla families interact with one another. The tracking process could take longer or shorter than expected, and provide new and exciting obstacles. Each of the two gorilla tracking episodes in this bundle is accompanied by a unique activity. To get insight into the customs of the Rwandan people, a visit to the Iby’iwacu Cultural Village is in order. Following the second gorilla tracking adventure, guests will get the chance to see the Burera and Ruhondo lakes.
Musanze, in northwest Rwanda, is the gateway to Volcanoes National Park. The park’s very high elevation is the result of its five volcanoes. Thirty percent of the world’s mountain gorillas and a sizable number of golden monkeys can be found at Volcanoes National Park. Additionally, to monkeys and apes, hyenas, forest elephants, buffaloes, bush pigs, and birds can be seen in the park. Hiking one of the Virunga volcanoes, such as Karisimbi or Bisoke, is another popular activity in the park. The Volcanoes National Park is a popular spot for gorilla safaris despite the fact that it does not contain the vast majority of the park’s gorilla population. From Kigali, it just takes three hours on a well-maintained route to reach the park. Similarly well-organized is the gorilla trekking experience in Volcanoes National Park.
The Iby’iwacu Cultural Village is one of the best places to learn about and appreciate the fascinating history and fascinating traditions of the Banyarwanda people. The village, now known as the Gorilla Guardians, was established to provide work for reformed poachers in the hope that they would stop harming park animals. It has since expanded into a sizable building where members of all Rwandan ethnic groups congregate to celebrate their country’s many achievements. The trip also includes stops at Lake Ruhondo and Burera. Couples can enjoy a peaceful and romantic setting at one of these lakes. After a day of hiking with gorillas, a visit to the lakes is a welcome respite. To get to know the locals, you can go island hopping or canoeing on a boat.
This four-day double gorilla trekking safari is certain to be an unforgettable experience that will leave you feeling profoundly moved by the gorillas.
